We invite you to immerse yourself in an exciting journey across countless musical dimensions—ranging from core musical skills (harmony, ear training, counterpoint) and musicology (Western music history and theory) to world music, ethnomusicology, Arabic music, music technology, music production, composition, jazz, and ensemble performance across diverse styles, including choir and a joint Arab-Jewish orchestra.
Situated at the beating heart of musical creation, the Department operates within the Dr. Reuben Hecht Arts Center, offering advanced classrooms, a digital media lab, a recording studio, and a performance hall.
Alongside theoretical coursework, students benefit from a rich array of activities: regular concerts, composition competitions, diverse ensembles, academic conferences, and the Community Outreach Project, where students perform and lead interactive music workshops within communities for individuals with special needs.
