Welcome to the website of the School of Arts, Culture, and Hermeneutics at the University of Haifa.
The School of Arts and Culture: Studies in Art, Theatre, and Music in Haifa The School of Arts, Culture, and Hermeneutics offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs (B.A. and M.A.) that integrate theory and practice across the arts and humanities. Established on the foundation of the former School of Arts and subsequently expanded, the School currently brings together a diverse array of departments and academic programs.
The School fosters a vibrant, multicultural learning environment, serving as an academic and social meeting ground for students from all sectors and backgrounds within Israeli society. Much of this activity takes place at the Dr. Reuben Hecht Arts Center, situated atop Mount Carmel.
Central to the School’s vision is a strong commitment to social initiatives and community engagement. Students participate in interventionist projects across Haifa and northern Israel, collaborating with marginalized communities and organizations supporting individuals with special needs—thereby realizing the transformative potential of art as a catalyst for social change.
